As an online portal, we offer you a comprehensive range of information through our digital and printed products, covering politics, business, society, culture, sport and many other topics. We also provide subscribers with selected offers through our benefits programme and online shop.

This statement explains how our digital services comply with the accessibility requirements of the German Accessibility Improvement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG).

Editorial Products

Our digital products include the website, the news app and the e-paper app, which provides access to the digital edition of the daily newspaper. We also offer podcasts, newsletters and video content. Our content ranges from breaking news and analysis to multimedia reports.

A Plus subscription is required for full access to our content. Free content can be accessed without registration. Where content requires registration, a user agreement is entered into and certain personal data is processed, including cookies, device information and IP addresses.

Services

Subscriptions: Digital and combined subscriptions offering access to the e-paper, the printed edition and optional additional services, such as benefits programmes or special regional content.
Reader services: Account and subscription management, temporary delivery suspensions and complaint handling.
Advertising services: Online placement and management of private and commercial advertisements.
Benefits portal: Discounts on events, panel discussions, competitions and special promotions for subscribers.
Shop: Regional products, books, gift ideas, wines and furniture.

Legal requirements

The legal requirements are derived from the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), in particular Section 14 in conjunction with Section 3 (1) BFSG, with reference to the Ordinance on the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSGV).
